THE VERY FIRST WEEKEND of the new year was spent in blissful relaxation. There is still a feeling of holiday dancing on the air, fairy lights and mistletoe still everywhere, and so before things return from the magical never never land of christmastime, one last weekend to linger, for coffee table picnics and old films on television [The King’s Speech & Pretty Woman], for far too many chocolate truffles and shortbread and the scent of Baies. On Saturday, it was egg & toast soldiers and too many cups of coffee, roses in the rain and the cinema in the evening [Americam Hustle—have you seen?], and Sunday was all luxuriously late starts and leisure, and of course, a little work as well . . .
