. . . and over the weekend, took the train to glasgow, spending time in the shops, and finding the most perfect antique golden teacups and saucers, stopping for afternoon lattes and a slice of strawberry gâteau in the charming pâtisserie françoise in the west end; exploring quaint cobblestone streets lined with fairy lights and pretty restaurants, and stopping in for tea with p’s grandmother; and all the while, even as we’ve only just returned from paris, immersing ourselves in the magic of the holidays . . .
