{décor inspiration : dusky lavender and bits of gold}

. . . it always seems, about this time of year, am ready to throw open the windows to the bright sunlight, in wild anticipation for springtime, and so, it is not difficult to imagine one being hopelessly drawn this perfectly romantic home, with its dusky lavender walls and pooling drapes of the same hue, its tufted linen chairs and carved settees, scalloped and gilded and mirrored accents, its florals and lucite may bring on bouts of spring fever at any moment . . .

  • I’m usually not the biggest fan of purple, but all of these work somehow. Completely head over heels for the first, very spring-like but not overly so.

  • I’d feel like I’m floating just walking around in that room! It’s like a pretty cloud.

  • A few years ago, I tried to paint my room lavender, but the paint I chose was more of a solid purple. It had none of the effervescence of these photos, but I am re-inspired to try again! It’s so lovely and bright, and transforms to match each season. Beautiful.

  • that first image is so stunning. A sanctuary of a bedroom!

  • now that’s the kind of place i would love to live in!

  • Lavendar and gold is my favorite color combination. I love all your beautiful images!

  • Love it! Lavender is wonderful!

  • Opulent, yet simple. Pretty, yet somewhat serious. Beautiful.

  • I love the lavender decor. Do you know where the white & blue chairs/thrones are from? They are beautiful.

  • I love a bright, floral inspired home!

  • I wish I could see what they have in the front corners of the bedroom. My room is setup like that (window isn’t centered) and I’m constantly stumped at what to do in that area. The closet is there but its still a large open space that seems like something should be there. Any ideas?
