THIS WEEKEND we left the city behind with friends for a beautiful beach we’d never been to before. (If you follow on Instagram, you would have seen, in our Stories, the photos and video clips of white sands and grassy dunes and the lull of turquoise crashing waves.) After a leisurely walk along the coast in the bright sun and the bluest Mediterranean skies, we stopped in at the most charming restaurant that serves local cuisine, for a long and lingering lunch of the best seafood paella we’d ever tasted so far. There were glasses of white wine and good conversation, and espressos and dessert for sobremesa, that time spent after a meal talking and enjoying each other’s company—time spent in conversation, digesting, relaxing, enjoying and certainly not rushing. It has been said that for Spaniards, how they eat is as important as what they eat, and this weekend, we were fortunate enough to be included in this lovely tradition.

This week’s links include Ibiza in the winter and Baroque & Mabe pearls at The Shop; inspirational quotes by architect, designer and futurist Buckminster Fuller; built-in sofas, our favourite highlighters and much, much more.
