HAD FORGOTTEN to tell you about the shock of reading Grace’s announcement recently. It’s hard to believe that after nearly fifteen years, this year will be the last for Design*Sponge. Hers was the very first blog had ever read, way back in 2007, and it was the reason why I began TIG. She had begun hers even earlier than that, in 2004, when blogs were brand new and there was no such thing as social media. Her announcement lead me to Tavi’s (6-page) announcement to fold Rookie, which was equally shocking. Both cited major changes in the digital sphere and ad industry as reasons for shuttering their beloved longtime publications. It’s not an easy time for any of us who were early adopters who have had to continually shift and evolve with the fast and ever-changing world of digital publishing. And social media has literally changed everything. Only time will tell where this will lead and what’s new & next.

This week’s links include London’s most instagrammable cafes, and 12 villas & cottages around the world to book; a perfect glow for your face, a belted trench for Spring days, ankle boots and much, much more.

xo,
