Weekday Wanderlust | Unknown Paris: A Few Favourite Places, from Pâtisseries & Boulangeries to Thai Food

I’ve been living my Parisian dream for the past four years and I can say that I still discover different places and new architecture every time I’m exploring the city. As a Paris-based editor, I feel the necessity to try all kind of new and trendy spots so that I can share my discoveries with readers. But also as a citoyenne de Paris I discover places that are not forcément that famous. I wanted to share these lesser known places with you even though the interiors are often not at all instagrammable but can assure you they are worth a visit.

Boulangerie Julien – it’s my (almost) daily place to go for croissants and baguettes. The most delicious is their ‘croissants aux amandes’

73 Avenue Franklin Roosevelt
75008

At Sacha Finkelswtajn, you can find the most incredibly delicious Yiddish patisserie. My favorite here is their strudel viennois.

27 Rue de Rosiers
75004

Mme Shawn is my favorite Thai restaurant. They serve really great food and have 3 locations, but my favorite is the one near Opera

40 Place du Marché Saint-Honoré
75001

Pho 11, it’s my favorite Vietnamese restaurant from an entire neighborhood dedicated to Cuisinie Asiatique. I love and recommend their Soupes Sattés

52 Rue Sainte-Anne
75002

From time to time, I take the métro especially to go to Oberkampf. There’s a little but great boulangerie there called Utopie. I always order a roulé sesame

20 Rue Jean Pierre Timbaud
