This week has been hectic so far, leaving me with no time for exploring Paris or for trying new restaurants.

But the idea of space has so inspiring to me lately -- the space itself, the material and light -- are relevant for my psychological bien-être. This week, the use of the visual sense is soothing my heart, and interior designer Joseph Dirand’s work, the quintessence of the French style of design, is pure visual heaven.

Among his nombreux projets one of my favourites is the Palais de Tokyo's, Monsieur Bleu, a brasserie-chic opened in 2013 with a timeless design inspired by the glamour of Art Deco, the artwork of Yves Klein, and the minimalist style of Adolf Loos.

The interior is an elegant space filled with clean lines, lustrous surfaces, a gray and green palette of velvet banquettes and Eero Saarinen chairs, with marble being the stand-out choice in material.

It’s the perfect place for an elegant lunch date, an eclectic soirée or intimate rendezvous ...

Dana is a fragile dreamer, they say, arriving in Paris four years ago, for love, and the city has been constantly changing her life since then. Hers is a world of books, (Marguerite Duras, Simone de Beauvoir, Anne Berest), expos, long walks sur les quais de Seine, pink skies, fine wine and peonies.
