I was reading captions on Instagram from all my friends in Paris and realized we are all beginning to get a little depressed with the never ending days of rain.

I personally keep dreaming of seeing the sea and changing -- a little -- from the city scenery, but holidays are not here yet. So until then, small bursts of change in the daily routine, even for an hour or a day can help clear the mind.

There is a place I often think of discovering: Spa Le Bristol. Open since 1925, Le Bristol Paris is one of Paris’s most luxurious hotels. A part of the Oetker Collection, the most inspiring selection of masterpiece hotels in the world.

In 1923, Hippolyte Jammet purchased Jules de Castellane's former property. His ambition was to transform the property into the most luxurious hotel. He named it Le Bristol as a tribute to Bishop Frederick Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol, an eighteenth-century traveller famed for his love of comfort and the high standards he demanded.

In 1978, Rudolf Oetker, founder of the German industrial group Oetker and already the owner of Brenners Park-Hotel and Spa in Baden-Baden and Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes, acquired Le Bristol Paris.

Dana is a fragile dreamer, they say, arriving in Paris four years ago, for love, and the city has been constantly changing her life since then. Hers is a world of books, (Marguerite Duras, Simone de Beauvoir, Anne Berest), expos, long walks sur les quais de Seine, pink skies, fine wine and peonies.
