There is a new trend in the city that Parisians are falling for: the cocktail experience. From simple recipes to fancy ones, high quality products and the most experienced bartenders is the mix to a perfect recipe. The accent is on the quality over quantity. More than a fancy-looking cocktail, the attention is on the purity and clarity of flavours.

A few steps away from the front door of the Louvre, Le Fumoir contains within, a discreet and intimate decor. Amongst the chic dark leather chairs and smooth lacquer and selection of international newspapers to peruse, you have a wide selection of excellent cocktails.

A monumental 13 meter-long bar constructed of compacted earth, stands in the new restaraunt, Les Grands Verres, inside the Palais de Tokyo. Here stone, earth, wood, metals, and light live together.

The bar concept was created by Hyacinthe Lescoët, the previous head bartender of Le Mary Céleste, who recently won the first prize at the famous Chivas Masters France contest. The cocktail menu includes some exciting choices among the list.

Dana is a fragile dreamer, they say, arriving in Paris four years ago, for love, and the city has been constantly changing her life since then. Hers is a world of books, (Marguerite Duras, Simone de Beauvoir, Anne Berest), expos, long walks sur les quais de Seine, pink skies, fine wine and peonies.
