“I signed myself up for a modeling contest in CosmoGirl with a friend when I was thirteen years old. It was honestly more of a joke; I didn’t expect anything to come from it. To my surprise I won, and that’s how I came into contact with my mother agency, Future Faces, in Amsterdam. However, I really did not want to start modeling until after I had graduated high school, which is why I’ve only recently started full time.” —Vogue
