Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 31.10.16
THE CLOCKS WENT BACK
an hour this weekend, leaving us with an earlier sunset the next day, but an extra hour of sleep that night, which is always welcomed these days. In November it will be four years since our beloved Dalmatian has been gone, and we’ve only just begun to think about another dog running about the house. We thought at first, a whippet would be best, but now seem to have our sights on a beagle, and are searching for those who need homes for various and often heartbreaking reasons. This weekend, we came across a 6-month old beagle with big floppy ears and mischief in his eyes. After messaging back and forth, it was discovered that he was no longer available, but, the owner told us in Spanish, he had another dog, and proceeded to send along two random photos of a large rather goofy but adorable brown curly-haired water dog of some sort that looked to be the family pet. We burst into laughter and politely told him that we had contacted him because he had advertised a beagle for sale, and we were not just looking for a dog, but a specifically, a beagle. And so, the search continues.

This week’s Links include 13 of the most beautiful villages in Britain and the perfect little black dress, Five Easy Ways to Prepare for House Guests and London city guides, chic ankle boots and a recipe for Chai Coconut Caramel Shortbread . . .

Hope your week is off to a perfect start,
Roséline xo
