Author Julia Reed’s New Orleans’ home can only be described as eclectic, for it is wonderfully overflowing with books and art prints, colours and textures, and things she has collected from her travels over the past 30 years. She describes her style as ‘magpie’, and, with the help of 
interior designer friends Courtney Coleman and Bill Brockschmidt from the design firm, Brockschmidt & Coleman, she has created the perfect mix of chintz and chinoiserie, and all in an utterly charming, travel-worn Bohemian eclecticism . . .
