On the Market | Décor Inspiration: A Magical Villa in Capri

The three rocks of the majestic ‘Faraglioni’ in Capri form one of the most stunning and memorable vistas in the world. Soaring out of the blue Mediterranean waters, they have a magical quality that conjures up all the glamour and mystique of this very special Italian island.
And looking down on this world-renowned vista is a white 5-bedroomed villa with exquisite outdoor terraces, planted with a profusion of palm trees, bougainvillea, vines, exotic succulents and wisteria.
While the interior of the villa, completed in the early 20th century, boasts walnut doors, high vaulted ceilings, fireplaces and even a Venetian door from 1700, it is the exterior to which you would be drawn constantly.
Through every window, glimpses of that classic Capri-blue sea ringed with turquoise beckon you outside. And there is no shortage of outdoor spaces from which to enjoy the view and the balmy summer temperatures; from sun-lit wrought iron balconies to shady hidden courtyards, a dining terrace, stone patio with dappled water feature, pergola-covered seating area, colonnaded walkways and even a lawned area with a child’s swing. Magical indeed . . . —Louise
