Playlist 16.11.14 : Five Songs for the Weekend

Hope you are having a great weekend. Here’s what we’ve been listening to this week. Enjoy. –P.

We have featured Ibeyi, the French-Cuban twins and the daughters of noted Cuban musician, Anga Diaz on the playlist once before. Here we have a beautiful acoustic cover of Jay Electronica’s “Better In Tune With The Infinite“. You can check out the twins laying down the track here.

London-based singer-songwriter Rosie Lowe’s smooth new single “How’d You Like it” is a follow-up to her much lauded debut EP from last year, Right Thing.

Kindness is the solo work of British singer Adam Bainbridge. “This Is Not About Us” is the latest release from his new LP Othereness, released in October and the follow up to his debut album release, World, You Need a Change of Mind, from 2012.

British teenager, Billie Black, is a graduate of the famous BRIT School of performing arts which also has alumni such as Adele, Jessie J, The Kooks, and Amy Winehouse. Black & White is from her debut EP 000 100.

Dead Ceremony are a four-piece band out Kent, producing atmospheric electronica, and “Losing You” is their latest offering.
