Keukenhof Gardens, Netherlands

CONTINUING WITH OUR FLORAL AFFAIR this spring, come away with us to Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, Netherlands. Otherwise known as ‘the Garden of Europe’, Keukenhof stands as the world’s largest flower garden, and is open to the public and camera-snapping tourists but only once a year, exclusively.

Named after royalty that once owned the 32 hectares of greenery, history is revived each year with over 7 million flower bulbs planted. A colourful celebration of Spring from the 20th March – 18th May, visitors can get lost in vibrant mazes and winding nature gardens with fragrant notes dotting the air.

A floral mosaic with treasure hunt activities for children and spectacular scenery for adults, Keukenhof Gardens attracts over 800,000 visitors each year. With endless pavilions of daffodils, cherry blossoms, orchids and world famous Holland Tulips, visitors will be drawn into a world of discovery. —Anita
