The fully redesigned premier suites, along the top floor, feature one of the city’s only waterfront rooftop terraces, with a view out to the Giudecca. All ten suites are named after Venetian locales and traditions or famous Gritti guests. Three are devoted to writers, including the Hemingway Suite, which had existed previously.

An extensive restoration, including structural upgrades and a top-to-bottom interior renovation were recently carried out by architect Gretchen Alexander Harnischfeger, and designer & Donghia creative director Chuck Chewning.
