OFF TO MEETINGS first thing this morning, but first wanted to stop in say
hello! & to leave you with today’s beautiful interior inspiration, by mother-daughter design team,
Kemble Interiors, New York. Founded in 1982 by Mimi Maddock McMakin, a native of Palm Beach, she would be joined by her daughter after a brief career in film production, to partner with her mother and run the
New York office. And so, here, in tufted headboards and enchanting seashell fireplaces, a sample of their work . . .

“In life as in design, it is not perfection you should be after. There’s beauty in the faded and worn, the well loved, and the sentimental…After all, life has seams. Your home should be like a loosely woven fabric of desires, memories, practical, notions, and even compromises.” —Celerie Kemble

LOVE her work. Beauty and that intangible addition ~
I am always so inspired by beautiful interior design!

I have that headboard in the 3rd picture, and it is HEAVEN! Just love it.
Stunning decor! :)
As soon as I saw that first photo with the leaf print headboard, I thought…the designer must be from Palm Beach! And then I read the blog post and it was confirmed. The tropical background is apparent in their work, and tastefully done. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing!!!!!
