MY GRANDMOTHER taught me how to knit when I was a forever-pink-tutu-and tiara-wearing little girl, and while she would go on to create extravagant masterpieces, I, on the other hand, would end up with a few half-finished scarves in various shades of pink and lavender, completing only a pair of throw cushion covers once, made for a friend.  And so it is for this reason that am simply head over heels for the work of Stéphanie Caulier, whose Australia-based shop, I Love Mr. Mittens, is filled with amazing chunky cable knits in shades of cream and moody grey, browns and pinks, all perfect for a winter’s day . . .
